Manufacturing / Injection moulding
Injection moulding DFM checker.
Draft angle and wall uniformity auto-fix on STEP models via real CAD-kernel edits. Undercut detection is the more fundamental check: it means the part can't be pulled from a straight two-piece mould at all, no matter how much draft the rest of it has.
CheckWhat it doesStatus
Draft angleFlags walls under roughly 1° of draft along the pull direction, which scrape or stick on ejection.Auto-fixed on STEP
Wall uniformityFlags sections well above the part's median thickness, which cool slower and risk sink marks and warp.Auto-fixed on STEP
UndercutsCasts rays along the pull axis and counts surface crossings to catch genuine tunnels, hooks and overhanging pockets.Detected
Gate location and weld-line placement affect fill pattern, cosmetic finish and warp; this is a moulder/process decision Buildable doesn't have visibility into and stays supplier-dependent.
