Geometry analysis: local, not uploaded

Buildable's DFM checks, material recommender, and assembly interference detection run entirely in your browser via WebAssembly. When you upload an STL, 3MF, or STEP file, that file is parsed and analysed on your own machine. It is not transmitted to a Buildable server as part of the analysis.

What the AI features send

Three optional features, explaining results in plain English, planning an automatic fix, and the in-app chat, call a server-side function that talks to Anthropic's Claude API. What's sent is a small, bounded, structured summary: numbers and coordinates already computed in your browser (a wall thickness, an overlap volume, a count of flagged faces), plus any text you type into the chat or the part-description field. Raw mesh or CAD geometry is never sent. If you don't use these features, nothing leaves your machine at all.

Hosting and basic logs

Like any website, standard web hosting infrastructure may log basic request metadata (IP address, timestamp, requested path) for operational and security purposes. This is standard hosting-provider behavior, not Buildable-specific tracking, and it does not include your CAD file content.

Accounts

Buildable does not currently require or offer account creation. There is no login, no stored user profile, and no cross-session history tied to an identity.
